Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a type of talking therapy that follows a ‘self-help’ tradition, involving you in the therapeutic process in a dynamic and active way. Using the knowledge we have of ourselves, with the aid of the therapist, it is hoped that we gain distance from our emotional distress and find new ways of surviving or living with it.
About me
I am an experienced cognitive behavioural therapist, who has trained to a high level with many of the world leading experts in cognitive behavioural therapy at the Institute of Psychiatry (King's College London) and Centre for Anxiety Disorders and Trauma, London (CADAT). I am fully accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) - Number 100137.
